McKees, Park School Kids Launch Litter Free RI Coloring Book

WARWICK, RI — About 60 Park School kids joined First Lady Susan McKee and Gov. Dan McKee, Principal Daniel Sylvestre and local officials at the school Friday morning to launch Litter-Free Rhode Island’s coloring book.
The event, which also gathered Mayor Frank Picozzi, School Committee Chairman Shaun Galligan, Rep. Joseph Solomon Jr., and authors of the book, members of the Young Leaders Advisory Group, Jordan Brazeau and Margaret Price, for some remarks about the importance of cleaning up litter and to not contribute to the problem.
Park School Kids Learn About Litter
The students were from Park Elementary’s second and third-grade, with their associated staff.
The coloring book is the latest resource available for younger children to get interested in cleaning up their communities and addressing litter. During the event, the First Lady and Governor read from the coloring book, which emphasizes the importance of keeping Rhode Island communities clean.
