Warwick – The West Bay Community is thrilled to announce the upcoming 9th Annual Strides for Independence 1k/5k Walk-a-thon, scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Goddard Memorial Park. This event is a celebration of inclusion, empowerment, and the limitless potential of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
The Strides for Independence Walk-a-thon is more than just a fundraising event; it’s a movement towards creating meaningful opportunities for people with IDD to experience the full richness of life. The theme “Imagine More” underscores our commitment to expanding horizons, fostering relationships, building community connections, and providing engaging activities tailored to each person’s interests, abilities, gifts, talents, and contributions.

Join the Walk-a-thon: Lace up your sneakers and join us for a day of fun, fitness, and camaraderie. Participants can register individually or as part of a team to walk together towards a brighter future.
