COVENTRY, RI — Coventry Police are investigating a New London Turnpike crash into a tree on Saturday morning, with rescue personnel transporting the driver to Kent Hospital.

Coventry Police report responding to a call reporting the crash at 9:28 hours, with Coventry Police Officers arriving to the scene first. The officers found the driver, a man, unresponsive. The officers performed CPR on the driver until rescue personnel arrived to treat the man.

The call and response was recorded and reported at 9:32 a.m. by @CJPFirePhotos, noting a possible entrapment of the driver. 

The driver was later transported to Kent Hospital by the rescue crew. The crash remains under investigation.
