COVENTRY, RI — Seasonal festivities are in full swing this Coventry weekend, featuring events such as the Coventry Halloween Spooktacular, a fall festival, the Annual Snowflake Bazaar, and the usual pumpkin painting.
The Coventry community weather forecast promises mostly clear with a slight chance of showers, with a high near 60 Friday, sunny, with a high near 62 Saturday, and mostly sunny with a chance of rain, with a nigh near 65 Sunday , the National Weather Service reports.
Here are some Coventry community events and happenings to help you decide where you’re spending this weekend:
Coventry Weekend Events Friday:
Coventry Halloween Spooktacular Join Coventry Parks and Recreation on Friday, October 17 at 6:00-8:30 p.m. for our annual Halloween Event ‘Monster Mash Bash with Trunk-or-Treat.’ Come enjoy the many spooky festivities that include food trucks, trunk-or-treat, and more. Wear your Halloween costume, bring a bag for all of your treats, and maybe even a flashlight.
This event will take place outside at the Town Hall Annex (1675 Flat River Road). Adults must accompany children. The rain date for this event is Saturday, October 18.
Pumpkin Painting at Fairview Gardens Let us handle the mess with Pumpkin Painting out on the back patio of our adorable local nursery from 10:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. This craft is fun for all ages and we offer plenty of room for our groups. This craft is free with the sale of your preferred pumpkin. We hope to see you there!
Cemetarium and Terrarium Making Come on out to Fairview Gardens from 10:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. for Cemetarium and Terrarium Making. This is a fun crafting opportunity for kids, teens, and adults. Whether you want to get spooky with a Halloween inspired theme, fall scene, fairy/gnome scene, or go natural with our selection of air plants and succulents. See you there!
Goat Snuggles Come join us for an early start to Coventry Community events at Amazing Grace Farm and enjoy time with our goats. Brush them, snuggle them, give them snacks, and watch them play. We guarantee you will leave with a smile on your face. Each snuggle session is about 40 minutes long.

Fairview Garden’s Fall Festival Join us at Fairview Gardens & Gift Shop on Saturday, October 18 from 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. for our Fall Festival. This fun family, friends, and couples event is located at our adorable local nursery, offering something for everyone. There will be a reptile encounter show at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., as well as a movie in the greenhouse at 7:00 p.m. Throughout the day there will be various activities such as a bounce house, crafts, games, food, and more. Friendly pets welcomed (excluding reptile shows). We will see you there!
Women’s Wilderness Weekend 50th anniversary cookout/hike/fun Women’s Wilderness Weekend‘s women’s event Saturday, during the October retreat, celebrates the non-profit’s 50th anniversary with a cookout, nature hikes, kayaking, decoupage & ornament workshops and slideshow, for $25. The 68th Annual Snowflake Bazaar Saints John & Paul Parish continues its annual tradition with the 68th Annual Snowflake Bazaar. The Bazaar will be held Saturday, October 18 from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 19 from 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Saints John & Paul Parish Center.
The Snowflake Bazaar, held annually since its inception in 1957, is one of the biggest holiday bazaars in the state. This eagerly awaited event offers a wide variety of holiday booths with items for purchase including gifts, jewelry, knitted articles, religious items, baked goods, pastries, and much more. There are many ways to take a chance winning fantastic prizes including lotteries, chances for Baskets Galore themed baskets, major raffles, Gift Card Bingo, Holiday Cheer, and a beautiful hand-crafted quilt. We will also offer our 6th annual Cow Chip Bingo. Children will love our Twinkle Town where they can have photos taken with Santa, make arts and crafts or play games of skill to win great prizes.
The kitchen is open for breakfast and lunch with a wide variety of delicious food and snacks. Freshly baked homemade cookies are also available at the popular Cookie Jar. Entertaining music is provided through the Bazaar. Credit cards are accepted. Join us as we celebrate our 68th year of the Snowflake Bazaar!

Community Roots Market We’re delighted to announce that Community Roots Market is coming to Coventry, RI, and we’re eager for you all to join us. We’ll be featuring locally grown and crafted goods. Located at 2501 Nooseneck Hill Rd, Coventry, RI. Open every Saturday from 4-6 p.m.

Goat Hike and Snuggle Come take a walk in the woods with us and our little herd of goats. The goats are off-leash and forage their way through the trails with us. We stop in several spots for you to interact with them and give them snacks. Easy terrain with a few small hills. The hike is about 40 minutes long. Each hike ends with a snuggle session!

- Sundays at 10 a.m.
Baby Goat Yoga Join us on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. for a unique experience of yoga class plus baby goats! Our instructor will lead you through the class while the babies run, play, and most likely climb on you. All levels welcome. You will most likely get dirty, so don’t wear anything that can’t be washed. Bring a yoga mat (we have loaners) and an open mind. You will definitely enjoy this class.
Cost is $30 per person.
