Coventry Weekend Events Dec. 5: Tree Lighting, Bazaar

COVENTRY, RI — The holiday season has officially begun with Coventry weekend events, as we feature events including a tree lighting, a holiday bazaar, a collectors show, and a Yuletide celebration at Spell Hall.

The Coventry community weather forecast promises sunny with a chance of snow, with a high near 31 Friday, mostly cloudy with a high near 43 Saturday, and partly sunny with a high near 41 Sunday, the National Weather Service reports.

Here are some Coventry community events and happenings to help you decide where you’re spending this weekend:

Coventry Weekend Events Saturday:

Third Annual Winter Wonderland and Tree Lighting Join us at the Town Hall Annex on Saturday, December 6 from 1:30-6:30 p.m. for a magical afternoon of holiday cheer and community fun at our annual Winter Wonderland and Tree Lighting celebration. There will be food trucks, a free gift-wrapping station, horse and buggy rides, and holiday activities for the whole family. Cap off the day with holiday music, glowing lights, and a visit from Santa himself! Bring your family, friends, and holiday spirit— we can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Alpine Nursing Home’s Annual Holiday Bazaar Mark your calendars! Alpine Nursing Home’s Annual Holiday Bazaar is happening this Saturday, December 6 from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. There will be raffle baskets, baked goods, holiday decor, yard sale treasures, handmade crafts, and more. We hope to see you there!

Rhody Collectors Show The last Rhody Collectors Show of 2025 is this Saturday, December 6 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Coventry VFW. Come get your favorite vintage and modern collectibles including sports and non-sports/Pokemon cards, action figures, comics, video games, and more.

Spell Hall Yuletide Through Time Join on Saturday, December 6 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  as we travel through time and celebrate Yuletide Through the Ages. This year’s celebration is an interactive experience allowing guests to explore Yuletide from General Greene’s time until his last descendant lived in his home, historic Spell Hall. Special guests include Wedges of Time, Big Bear trading Company, and Traditional Christmas music from Don Lurgio and Matt Cook. We look forward to celebrating the holidays in this special way with you.
