COVENTRY, RI – Due to the positive rabid cat located in Coventry last week, Coventry Animal Control will be hosting an Emergency Rabies Vaccine Clinic for pets at at the Coventry Town Hall Annex July 30, 6 – 7 p.m.
Pre-registered pets will be given priority. Those who do not pre-register will still receive a vaccine for their pet, but will have an increased wait time. The clinic is open to Coventry and Non-Coventry residents.
Animal Control asks that all cats be in pet carriers and that all dogs be on leashes. The fee will be $20, cash only. Please contact Coventry Animal Control with any questions at 401-822-9106.
The clinic follows a July 10 rabies alert from the Ri Department of Health following a person in Coventry getting scratched by a stray cat that tested positive for rabies.
