COVENTRY, RI — There are many unique opportunities in the Coventry community events roundup this weekend, including a community yard sale, pumpkin painting, a Heritage Day celebration, and several live music events.

The Coventry Community events weather forecast promises mostly clear and sunny, with a high near 73 Friday, sunny, with a high near 71 Saturday, and partly sunny with a chance of showers, and a high near 72 Sunday, the National Weather Service reports.

Here are some Coventry community events and happenings to help you decide where you’re spending this weekend:

Coventry Community Events Friday:

The Sharing Room Band at Olde Theater Restaurant and Lounge Come on out to Olde Theater Restaurant and Lounge on Friday, September 12 at 1:00 p.m. and enjoy live music from The Sharing Room. They mainly play classic rock (Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Santana, and many others). Stop in and enjoy these great classics. Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes!

Goat Snuggles Come join us at Amazing Grace Farm and enjoy time with our goats. Brush them, snuggle them, give them snacks, and watch them play. We guarantee you will leave with a smile on your face. Each snuggle session is about 40 minutes long.

  • Fridays at 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays and Sundays at 11:30 a.m.

Coventry Community Events Saturday:

Community Yard Sale Join us at Guy L. Lefebvre Community Center on Saturday, September 13 from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. for a community yard sale with a twist. We are offering several different ways to sell, so everybody can get involved. Get ready to fall clean and sell!

  • Sell from your home- Add $4 for a permit and we’ll advertise your sale with a town-wide location map to help buyers find you.
  • Rent a table at the Community Center- rent a table and set up your sale in a central location. $25 for residents per table, $30 for non-residents per table (max of two tables per family).
  • Sell from side lot outdoors- bring your own table- $10

This is an indoor/outdoor event. Spaces will be assigned at random. Vendors must remain for the duration of the event. All unsold items must be taken with you at the end of the event.

Pumpkin Painting at Fairview Gardens Let us handle the mess with Pumpkin Painting out on the back patio of our adorable local nursery. This craft is fun for all ages and we offer plenty of room for our groups. This craft is free with the sale of your preferred pumpkin. We hope to see you there!

Paine House Museum Heritage Day Join us at Paine House Museum on Saturday, September 13 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. for Heritage Day! There will be live music, living history, raffles, a craft fair, house tours, and a pie contest. This event has fun for the whole family. See you there!

All About Amy Band at Olde Theater Restaurant and Lounge Come on out to Olde Theater Restaurant and Lounge on Saturday, September 13 from 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. and enjoy live music from All About Amy. They are looking forward to a gun night to give 70s sass, 80s flash, 90s smash, and a little country class. We hope to see you there!

Community Roots Market We’re delighted to announce that Community Roots Market is coming to Coventry, RI, and we’re eager for you all to join us. We’ll be featuring locally grown and crafted goods. Located at 2501 Nooseneck Hill Rd, Coventry, RI. Open every Saturday from 4-6 p.m.

Goat Hike and Snuggle Come take a walk in the woods with us and our little herd of goats. The goats are off-leash and forage their way through the trails with us. We stop in several spots for you to interact with them and give them snacks. Easy terrain with a few small hills. The hike is about 40 minutes long. Each hike ends with a snuggle session!

  • Saturdays at 2 p.m.
  • Sundays at 10 a.m.

Baby Goat Yoga Join us on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. for a unique experience of yoga class plus baby goats! Our instructor will lead you through the class while the babies run, play, and most likely climb on you. All levels welcome. You will most likely get dirty, so don’t wear anything that can’t be washed. Bring a yoga mat (we have loaners) and an open mind. You will definitely enjoy this class.

Cost is $30 per person.
