Coventry Community Events Sunday:
Colonial Medicine Workshop During the Revolutionary War, medicinal practices and remedies on the battlefield and the home front had not taken on the cutting edge techniques and medications we know now. In the days before Tylenol and Advil, colonists had the gifts of the natural world. Whether those gifts were good or bad is to be determined by the recipient of the treatment, but never the less they got them through almost anything that ailed them.
Join us at Spell Hall this Sunday, August 17 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. and learn all about some of the treatments and medicinal practices from the early days of America. This workshop is geared towards Elementary and Middle School aged children. Dress comfortably, as we will be outside. This workshop has a capacity for 20 children, each group or child with supervision of an accompanying adult. To register, admission cost is $10 per child, accompanying adults get in with them for free. We look forward to learning with you!
