Coventry Community Events Sunday:
Spies, Codes, and Navigation at Nathanael Greene Homestead Join us at Spell Hall on Sunday, August 3 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. for the fourth in our series of summer workshop courses— Spies, Codes, and Navigation. In Revolutionary America, there was a considerable separation between Patriots and Loyalists, who believed that we should stay under the tyranny of British Rule. As with any war, secrecy was of the utmost importance. Spies for the colonies were integral to the Patriot Mission, and heavily against them were Loyalist Spies. These individuals would go out in their own accord and would give secret information to British forces, and get Patriots killed, or their property disturbed.
Join us here this Sunday and learn all about Revolutionary Spies, and also the codes and navigational tactics necessary to be a good spy, whether it be for or against America’s freedom.
Dress comfortably, as there will be outside activities. This workshop has a capacity for 20 children, with supervision of an accompanying adult. To register, cost of admission is $10 per child, accompanying adults get in with them for free. We hope to see you there!
