WARWICK, RI — Incoming and current Warwick City Council members partnered with West Bay Community Action, gifting winter clothes and toys to make their holidays brighter.

The initiative brought together incoming councilors Bill Foley, Jeremy Rix, Bryan Nappa, Sal DeLuise, Ed Ladouceur, Bill Muto, Jack Kirby, Anthony Sinapi, and Vinny Gebhart, with help from outgoing Council President Steve McAllister, who identified essential items and holiday gifts.

Gifts ranged from necessities such as clothing, winter hats, gloves, and jackets to toys for children, ensuring a season of warmth and joy for the adopted families.

“This first act of the new council shows our commitment to having a positive impact on Warwick and its residents,” said Councilman Vinny Gebhart, who organized the effort. “I merely suggested we do something to come together and have a positive impact, and the response was overwhelmingly enthusiastic. I’m so encouraged by the generosity and commitment of this group and the supporters who surround them.”

West Bay Community Action, a vital organization in the region, played a pivotal role in coordinating the effort. “West Bay is a tremendous organization that serves our community and fills in gaps to give folks a better life,” Gebhart added.

As the holidays approach, the incoming council extended their heartfelt wishes to the Warwick community. “On behalf of the council, we wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and a blessed and healthy New Year.”
