COVENTRY, RI — Community Coventry events offer a wide variety of activities and diversions this weekend, featuring a trivia night, community parkour classes, a children’s book signing, a holiday bazaar, and two live music opportunities.

The Coventry community weather forecast promises sunny and mostly clear, with a high near 47 Friday, sunny, with a high near 47 Saturday, and rainy, with a high near 57 Sunday, the National Weather Service reports.

Here are some Coventry community events and happenings to help you decide where you’re spending this weekend:

Community Coventry Events Friday:

Navy ROTC Trivia Night Come out to the VFW on South Main Street, Coventry on Friday, November 14 from 6:00-8:30 p.m. for Navy ROTC trivia Night. Our “distinguished” unit has been recognized for our exceptional leadership, discipline, and service to our community and have been invited to march in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington DC next year. All proceeds from this event will help get the cadets to DC. There will be raffles, 50/50, prizes, food, and fun. Cost is $20 per person for trivia.

Timeless at Lake Taco Timeless will be performing at Lake Taco in Coventry on Friday, November 14 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. Timeless is a Rhode Island based band performing hits from the 1950s-1990s. We hope to see you there!

Community Parkour Class Join us for our Community Ninja Parkour Class, completely free for the entire community, on Friday, November 14 from 5:15-6:00 p.m. Open to all current students and non-students. Appropriate for kids ages 5 and up. Bring any special guests with you to try out this fun-filled class. Plus, gain access to special enrollment savings for the class just for attending. We can’t wait to see you there!

Community Coventry Events Saturday:

Holiday Craft and Vendor Show Come out Coventry WG Elks Lodge on Saturday, November 15 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for the annual Holiday Craft and Vendor Show. There will be jewelry, candles, resin crafts, wreaths, pottery, artwork, and much more. All raffle proceeds will go to benefit the Pet Refuge in North Kingston. Save the date and help us help the community during this Saturday addition to local Coventry events.

Children’s Book Signing Join us on Saturday, November 15 from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. for a fun afternoon with two amazing children’s authors right here at Binds & Blooms. Meet the authors, grab signed copies of their books, and enjoy a family-friendly event full of stories and smiles. This event is free to the public— bring the kids, bring your friends, and come celebrate the magic of reading.

The Senders Band at OTD Come on out to Olde Theater Restaurant and Lounge on Saturday, November 15 at 8:30 p.m. for a performance by The Senders Band. The Senders have been rocking Southern New England since 1983 and continue to enjoy the privilege of entertaining you. They play a unique blend of danceable Classic Rock, R&B, and Modern Rock music favorites. The Senders never fail to deliver good times. See you there!
