COVENTRY, RI — Coventry arrests and other Kent County arrests in the RI Trooper Log  June 18- 23 involved charges for reckless driving, check fraud,  and controlled substances.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police Kent County arrests in the Coventry area:

Kent County, Coventry Arrests May 27 -June 6

 Missed court, expired license At 11 a.m. June 18, troopers arrested Oscar Gerena, 26, of 124 Suffolk Ave., Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on a Sixth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving with Expired or Without License -4th+ Offense, originating out of the Cumberland Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Nooseneck Hill Road in West Greenwich. Gerena was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Sixth Division District Court.

Bank fraud, check fraud At 4 p.m. June 19, troopers arrested Lauren Goodridge Junior, 31, of 12 Ernest St., Coventry, Rhode Island on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for 1.) Bank Fraud and 2.) Fraudulent Checks – Over $1,500.00.

The arrest was the result of a Barracks investigation Goodridge turning himself into the Wickford Barracks. Goodridge was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a future Third Division District Court date.

EG stop, reckless driving At 8:44 p.m. June 19, troopers arrested Eric Sangster, 34, of 78 Gervais St., Coventry, Rhode Island for Reckless Driving. This arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in East Greenwich. Sangster was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a future court date.

WG stop, Coventry warrant, illegal drugs On Saturday, June 21 at 12:53 a.m., troopers arrested Kevin L. Conklin, 36, of 40 Baker St., Warwick, Rhode Island for a Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Determination of Attorney on the original charge of Manufacturing /Delivery /Possession with Intent to Manufacture/ Deliver Schedule I/II controlled substances originating out of the Coventry Police Department.

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. Conklin was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution- Men’s Intake Center.
