EG stop, suspended license At 10:45 a.m. May 23, troopers arrested John Ferreira, 66, of 27 Plantation St., Warwick, Rhode Island for 1) Driving with a Suspended License – Certain Violations. The arrest, one of five Warwick arrests during this period, was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 4 in East Greenwich. Ferreira was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Third District Court for arraignment.
Warrant for Assault, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest At 7:34 p.m. May 23, troopers arrested Andy Ares, 27, of 139 Lancaster Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, for an active Affidavit and Arrest Warrant originating out of the State Police Scituate Barracks on the original charge of 1) Disorderly Conduct, 2) Resisting Legal or Illegal Arrest, 3) Simple Assault and/or Battery.
The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation by Troopers and a subsequent motor vehicle stop on Greenwich Avenue in Warwick. Ares was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace as a probation and bail violator and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake.
Crash, DUI charge At 11:35 p.m. May 23, troopers arrested Roger Guyer, 52, of 5 Ritchotte Court, West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC Unknown – 1st Offense 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – 1st Offense. The arrest was the result of troopers responding to an erratic operator and subsequent motor vehicle crash in Warwick.
Guyer was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned before a Justice of the Peace and released with a future Third Division District Court date.
Warrant: Child Abuse At 4:40 p.m. May 26, Troopers arrested Curtis Mitchell, 34, of 21 Candace Street, Providence, Rhode Island, on a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the original charge of Second Degree Child Abuse originating out of the Warwick Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. The subject was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks and transported to the ACI – Men’s Intake Center.
Protection order violation On Monday, May 26, at 12:21 p.m., troopers arrested Douglas Zorilla, 29, of 110 Ridgeway Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, for Violation of a Protection Order – Third Offense. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Bismark Street, in Pawtucket.
Zorilla was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned/presented as a probation/bail violator and then transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.
Rte. 295 crash, domestic vandalism On Wednesday, May 28, at 4:20 p.m., troopers arrested Corey Flynn, 20, of 16 Spectacle Ave., Warwick, for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Domestic Vandalism – Damage to Private Property originating out of the Warwick Police Department.
The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a motor vehicle crash on Rte. 295 South in Johnston. Flynn was transported to the State Police – Scituate Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Warwick Police Department.
WG stop, DUI charge At 1:42 a.m. May 28, troopers arrested Katherine Akikie, 32, of 3800 Post Road, Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC Unknown – First Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Greenwich Avenue, in the City of Warwick.
Akikie was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.
