COVENTRY, RI —  This week’s Coventry Weekend events lineup include Hopkins Hill School’s Cardboard Challenge, crafts and carriages at Suzy Qs, and an egg hunt.

The Coventry Weekend events weather forecast calls for mostly sunny skies Thursday and Friday, with highs in the 40s, then temps drop into the 30s with a chance of rain Saturday and Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Coventry Weekend Events Friday:

Coventry Youth Basketball Coventry Youth Basketball plays tonight, 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. at Blackrock Elementary School’s gym. Coventry Youth Basketball Association, Inc.  promotes the game of basketball among the youth in Coventry, RI by teaching fundamental basketball skills in a positive environment of sportsmanship and teamwork.

Hopkins Hill Cardboard Challenge Calling all creators! Our Cardboard Challenge is this Friday from 6–7:30! It’s a FREE family event full of S.T.E.A.M and imagination!  The Cardboard Challenge is a creative, free family event designed to promote engineering, imagination, and sustainability by building projects from cardboard. Participants (typically students and families) use cardboard, recycled materials, and tape to engineer structures, games, or inventions, often following the design process of planning, building, and testing.

Coventry Weekend Events Saturday:

Carriage Rides & Craft Fair, Suzy Q’s Visit Summit General Store – 25 Old Summit Rd, Greene, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. to celebrate spring with New England Carriage Company for Suzy Q’s Reopening after winter break, featuring local artisans, handmade gifts, festive décor, and delicious treats.

Take a scenic ride behind our gentle draft horses, then warm up inside the store with hot drinks and goodies — the perfect start to the Spring season! Great photo opportunities with the horses and wagon! Rides run continuously. Cash, card, or Venmo accepted on site.

Admission: $10 per person | Children 2 & under ride free.

Egg hunt, Town Hall Annex The whole community is invited to a FREE Easter Community Event this Saturday, from 12–1:30 p.m. at  the Town Hall Annex (1675 Flat River Road) Free Egg Hunt, Free pictures with the Easter Bunny, Free Pony Rides & Petting Zoo Free face-painting, and Food Trucks.
