

COVENTRY, RI —Coventry arrests and Kent County arrests in the RI Trooper Log Jan. 30 – Feb. 8 involved charges for fentanyl and clonazepam possession, unpermitted pistol, vandalism and illegal drug distribution.
Here are the basics on those RI State Police Coventry arrests and Kent County arrests:
Coventry Arrests Jan. – 30 – Feb. 8
Fentanyl, Clonazepam possession On Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 12:05 a.m., troopers arrested David J. Pizzi, 46, of 9 Rawlinson Drive, Coventry, Rhode Island for 1.) Possession of a Schedule I to V Controlled Substance – 10 Grams or Less (Fentanyl), and 2.) Possession of a Schedule I to V Controlled Substance – 10 Grams or Less (Clonazepam).
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Legris Avenue in the Town of West Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed, and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court.
Illegal pistol At 11:53 a.m. Feb. 4, troopers arrested Darniel Polanco Cortorreal, 21, of 204 River Ave., Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) License/Permit Required for Carrying a Pistol and 2.) Large Capacity Feeding Devices Prohibited. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of West Greenwich.
Cortorreal was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Third District Court for arraignment.
Suspended license At 8:50 p.m., Feb. 4 troopers arrested Bryanna Garcia, 22, of 50 April Court, West Warwick, Rhode Island for Affidavit Arrest Warrant for Driving with Suspended/Revoked/Cancelled License 4th Offense.
This arrest was the result of a Barracks investigation and North Providence Police locating Garcia. Garcia was transported to State Police Wickford Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by the Justice of Peace, and released with a future Second Division District Court date.
Wanted for vandalism On Feb. 4, the Gaming Enforcement Unit arrested Vincent DeSantis Jr., 59, of 84 Horse Neck Road, Warwick, Rhode Island, on one count of Vandalism/Malicious Damage to Property.
DeSantis was arrested by the West Warwick Police Department on an Affidavit/Arrest Warrant and transport to Third District Court for arraignment. DeSantis was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Goulart and released on $1,000 personal recognizance.
EG stop, illegal drug manufacture/distribution On Monday, Feb. 9 at 1:40 a.m., troopers out of the Hope Valley Barracks arrested Mason C. Doughty, 40, of, 40 Hollis Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for a 32F Technical Violation on the original charge of Manufacturing/Distribute/Possession Schedule I/II Controlled Substance Not Drug Dependent – First Offense originating out of the Warwick Police Department, and 2.) Providence County Superior Court Bench Warrant for a 32F Technical Violation on the original charge of Manufacturing/Delivery/Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance originating out of the Pawtucket Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Division Road in the Town of East Greenwich. The subject was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake.
