Trooper Coventry Arrests Jan. 30: Hit & Run, DUI

COVENTRY, RI —Coventry arrests and Kent County arrests in the RI Trooper Log  Jan. 28 – 30 involved charges for hit & run, DUI, and a bench warrant arrest, all following traffic stops.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police Coventry arrests and Kent County arrests:

Coventry Arrests Jan. 28 – 30:

Rte. 95 crash, Hit & Run charge At 4:51 p.m Jan. 28, troopers arrested Timothy Ferreira, 36, of 2941 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence for 1.) Duty to Stop in Accidents Resulting in Damage to Attended to Vehicle.

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle accident on Rte. 95, in West Greenwich. Ferreira left the scene of the accident and was later arrested by Coventry Police then transported to Kent County Hospital. Ferreira was subsequently misdemeanor released from the hospital.

Bench warrant arrest, WW stop At 11:05 p.m. Jan. 29, troopers arrested Amaurys Severino, 31, of 168 Stanwood St., Providence, RI, for a Family Court Bench Warrant for a Reciprocal Body Attachment for a Non-Criminal Charge.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Providence Street in the Town of West Warwick. Severino was transported the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake.

Hopkins Hill Stop, DUI charge At 10:14 p.m. Jan. 30, troopers arrested Johnathan Kenenski, 36, of 29 Spencer Drive, Westerly, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC Unknown– First Offense; and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Hopkins Hill Road in the Town of West Greenwich. Kenenski was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.
