WARWICK, RI — Warwick arrests in the Warwick RI Trooper Log  Jan 15 – 23. included charges for DUI, crack possession and fraud.

RI Trooper Log Warwick Arrests Jan. 15 – 23

Rte. 95 stop, DUI charge At 10:34 p.m. Jan. 16, Troopers arrested James Balzano, 37, of 34 Harbour Village, Branford, Connecticut, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC Unknown – First Offense, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95, in the City of Warwick.

Balzano was transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and later released into the custody of a responsible adult with a future Third District Court date.

Providence stop, crack possession charge At 2:43 p.m. Jan. 21, troopers arrested Justin Iavarone, 45, of 197 Maryland Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, for 1.) Possession of a Schedule I – V Controlled Substance >10 Grams less than 1 Ounce (Crack-Cocaine). This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Plainfield Street in the City of Providence.

Iavarone was transported to State Police- Headquarters, where he was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution- Men’s Intake pending morning arraignment at Sixth District Court as a bail violator.

Obtaining property falsely charge On Jan. 22, members of the Financial Crimes Unit arrested Daniel Tuirok, 59, of 71 Hobbs Road, Warwick, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses/ Personation over $10,000.00; and 2) Access to Computer for Fraudulent Purposes.

Tuirok was processed at State Police Headquarters, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a future Third District Court date.

Centerville Road stop, DUI charge On Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, at 12:11 a.m., troopers arrested Steven Jimenez, 25, of 150 Stamford Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC .08 to .10 – First Offense, (Phase I: 0.088% & Phase II: 0.085%).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Centerville Road, in the City of Warwick. Jimenez was transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, held overnight pending arraignment as a probation violator.

Post Road stop, DUI chargeOn Saturday, Jan. 24, at 3 a.m., troopers arrested Jorge Reyes, 34, of 205 Southeast 16th Ave. Apt. 21A, Gainesville, Florida for Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC 0.08 to 0.10 – First Offense, (Phase I: 0.090% & Phase II: 0.090%).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Post Road, in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to a responsible adult with a future Third Division District Court date.
