Warwick Arrests Oct. 2025: DUI, Assault, Firearms

WARWICK, RI — WPD October 2025 Warwick arrests included charges for DUI, larceny, assault,  domestic violence, illegal firearm possession and illegal drugs.

Warwick Police made 210 arrests during this period, according to Warwick Police records. Below are the  basic details of specific Warwick arrests, followed by the numbers of arrests for each charge.

 

October 2025 Warwick Arrests Details

Felony assault, domestic violence On Oct. 10, at 12:34 p.m., Officer Rene G. Gauthier arrested Paul G. Leonard, 37, of 47 Waverly St., Warwick, RI, charging him with domestic violence, simple assault first offense, disorderly conduct and felony assault of a weapon resembling a firearm and resisting arrest. He was presented as a bail violator in Third Division Dist. Court Oct. 15,  then released on surety bail, $5,000.00 (@10%  $500), with an order for Pretrial Services to Monitor for Mental Health. He is scheduled for a Jan. 12 court screening for the felony assautl charge. He will be in court Nov. 4 on the domestic violence charges.

Assault on Health Care Provider On Wednesday, Oct. 22 7:33 a.m., Officer Rahja O Laster arrested Joseph A. Griswold, 29, of 17 Manuel Ave., Johnston, RI, charging him with assault of a health care provider. Griswold was arraigned in Third Division Dist. Court Oct. 23 and released on $25,000 personal recognizance, with a court screening scheduled for Jan. 26. 

Firearm Possession, Obstruction On Friday, Oct. 17, at 8:28 a.m., Officer Nathaniel Gray arrested Scott Peterson, 39, of 83 Chestnut Ave., 83 Chestnut Ave., Apt. #401, Cranston, RI, charging him with obstructing an officer, driving with a suspended license, possession of a firearm by someone convicted of a violent crime. He was arraigned Oct. 20 in Third Dist. Court and scheduled for a Jan. 26 court screening.

Larceny greater than $10,000 On Oct. 23, at 7:30 a.m., Officer Paris L Norwood arrested Robert Butler, 43, of 34 Harding St., West Warwick, RI, charging him with larceny greater than 10,000 and Access to a Computer for fraudulent purposes. He was arraigned on the charges in Third District Court on Oct. 23, scheduled for a court screening on Jan. 12, and released on $25,000 personal recognizance.
