CPD: Child Care Plus Car Crash Investigation Ongoing

COVENTRY, RI — Coventry Police report no charges have been filed against the driver who crashed into the playground at Child Care Plus, 963 Tiogue Ave. Coventry, RI Monday, causing minor injuries to five children.

Police report the driver is continuing to cooperate with their investigation.

Sobriety tests administered to the drvier at the time showed no signs of impairment, according to Coventry Police. There were two other juveniles in the vehicle, both of whom were evaluated by rescue personnel and were determined to not be injured.
