

WARWICK, RI — Warwick arrests in the Warwick RI Trooper Log Aug. 3 – involved charges for meth, cocaine and a violent crime convict possessing a pistol.

RI Trooper Log Warwick Arrests Aug. 3 –
Protection order violation At 6:14 p.m. Aug. 8, troopers arrested Joseph Heffernan, 42, of 10 Birch Driver, Exeter, Rhode Island for 1.) Violation of Protection Order-1st Offense. The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to the residence for a well-being check at the request of Warwick Police Department and subsequent investigation.
Heffernan was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of Peace, and released with a future Fourth Division District Court date.
Meth possession At 1:31 a.m. Aug. 13, troopers arrested Paul Capron, 54, of 28 Pleasant St., Apt. 1, West Warwick, for Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance > 10 Grams (Methamphetamine). The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Capron was transported to State Police Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.
Cocaine possession At 9:41 p.m. Aug. 13, troopers arrested Connor Bannon, 37, of 130 Whitford St., Wakefield, Rhode Island, for 1.) Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V – Ten Grams or Less (Cocaine).
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Quaker Lane in the City of Warwick. Bannon was processed at the State Police-Hope Valley Barracks, later held as a bail violator overnight pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court.
Fentanyl, cocaine possession On Aug. 7, members of the HIDTA Unit arrested Joseph Rothermel, 42, of 20 Jefferson Blvd, Warwick, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession with Intent to Deliver – Schedule I/II Controlled Substance – Fentanyl; 2) Possession with Intent to Deliver – Schedule I/II Controlled Substance – Crack Cocaine; and 3) Possession with Intent to Deliver – Schedule I/II Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine.
Rothermel was transported to the Lincoln Barracks for processing and then turned over to Third District Court officials for arraignment.
Illegal pistol On Aug. 13, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Burrillville Police Department arrested Michael J. Lafleur, 36, last known address of 402 Elm St., Warwick, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Burrillville Police Department for the following: 1) Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of a Crime of Violence; 2) Carrying a Pistol without a License (2 counts); and 3) Large-Capacity Feeding Device (3 counts).
LaFleur was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Burrillville Police Department on scene.
Assault with bodily fluids On Aug. 14, the ACI Investigations Unit charged Brittany Card, age 32, last known address of 150 Pinehurst Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island, with the following: 1) Assault with Bodily Fluids While Incarcerated.
Card was arraigned in Third Division District Court, where she was presented as a Superior Court violator, granted $5,000 surety bail, and remanded to the ACI.
This is a test
