COVENTRY, RI — Coventry arrests and other Kent County arrests in the RI Trooper Log  May 27 – June 6 involved charges for DUI, reckless driving, and public assistance fraud.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police Kent County and Coventry arrests in the Coventry area:

Kent County, Coventry Arrests July 6 –

WG stop, embezzlement warrant On Sunday, July 6 at 11:35 a.m., troopers arrested Cynthia Santiago, 41, of 566 Armistice Boulevard, Pawtucket, Rhode Island on an Active Affidavit and Arrest Warrant on the original charge of Embezzlement over $100 originating out of the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office and an Active Bench Warrant on the original charge of Embezzlement over $100 originating out of the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 North in the Town of West Greenwich. The subject was transported to Hope Valley Barracks where she was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women’s Intake Center.

Rte. 95 WW stop, DUI charge  At 11:39 p.m. July 7 troopers arrested Robert Stevens, 24, of 56 Sisson Road, Greene, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor – BAC .10 to .15 – First Offense (Phase I: .124) and (Phase II: .122). This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95, in the Town of West Warwick. Stevens was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult pending a future court date.

On Tuesday, July 8 at 10:45 p.m., Troopers arrested Arrow Johnson, age 30, of 7 West Street, Apartment 4, Ashaway, Rhode Island, on a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation Hearing (06/25/25) on the original charge of Shoplifting, originating out of the Coventry Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle crash investigation on South County Trail in the Town of Exeter. Mr. Arrow was transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institute – Men’s Intake Center.

On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 10:14 PM, Troopers arrested Erik Morin, age 57, of 10 Little John Lane, West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of an Intoxicating Liquor – BAC Unknown – First Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 99 in the Town of Lincoln. The subject was transported to State Police – Headquarters where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 1:55 PM, Troopers arrested James Simon, age 60, of 7 Warner Street, Plains, Pennsylvania, for 1.) Bank Fraud, 2.) Identity Fraud, 3.) Theft-Obtaining Credit Card Through Fraudulent Means, 4.) False Statement as To Financial Condition or Identity, 5.) Fraudulent Use of Credit Cards, and 6.) Possession of False Identification. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 North in the Town of West Greenwich. Mr. Simon was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was held overnight pending morning arraignment in Third Division District Court.
