WARWICK, RI — Warwick arrests in the RI Trooper Log June 15 -18 involved charges for possessing ACI contraband, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, and missing court for a charge of a domestic violence protective order violation.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police Warwick arrests:

Reckless driving On Sunday June 16, at 3:30 p.m., troopers arrested Michael Morocho Rivera, 20, of 16 Attila St., Johnston, Rhode Island, for Reckless Driving – Eluding. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in Bald Hill Road in Warwick.

Rivera was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Third Division District Court Date.

ACI contraband On June 17, members of the ACI Investigations Unit charged Steven Costa, 34, of last known address 120 Central St., Apartment #A, Warwick, Rhode Island, with the following: 1) Conveyance of Unauthorized Articles To/From Institution. Costa was arraigned in Third District Court and released to the custody of the Sheriffs Department.

Driving on suspended license, bail violator At 10 a.m. June 18, troopers arrested Desarie Prestly, 46, of 1038 Main Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island, for Driving After Denial, Suspension, or Revocation of License – Special Circumstances.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue, in Warwick. Prestly was transported to the Wickford Barracks where she was processed and then turned over to Third Division District Court for arraignment as a Bail Violator.

Missed court, domestic violence protection order violation At 10:03 p.m. June 18, troopers arrested Patrick Connor, 47, of 103 Brightside Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Fourth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the charge of Domestic Violence Prevention – Violation of a No-Contact Order originating out of the Hope Valley Barracks and 2.) Fourth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation Hearing on the charge of Domestic Violence Prevention – Violation of a Family Court Order originating out of the Hope Valley Barracks. This arrest was the result of Troopers responding to Connor’s residence where he was located and taken into custody. Connor was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Facility.
