RI Trooper Log: Coventry Arrests for Counterfeiting, Stolen Goods

COVENTRY, RI — Kent County and Coventry arrests in the RI Trooper Log  June 1 – 8  involved charges for DUI, reckless driving, forgery, license plate forgery, and robbery.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police Kent County and Coventry arrests:

Wanted for passing counterfeit certificates On Saturday, June 1 2024 at 4:27 PM, Troopers arrested Innocent Soman, 23, of 388 Pine Street, Apt. #2, Providence, Rhode Island, on a 1.) Sixth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving With Expired License originating from the East Providence Police Department and 2.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Disposition on the original charge of Passing of Counterfeit Certificates originating from Rhode Island State Police Headquarters.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. Soman was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed, and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.

Nooseneck Hill Road stop, DUI On Monday, June 3,  at 2:42 p.m, troopers arrested Gabrielle H. Muriente,  27, of 52 Bowling Lane, Bradford, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving After Denial, Revocation, or Suspension – Certain Violations.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Nooseneck Hill Road in Coventry. Muriente was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released.

Receiving Stolen Goods On Monday, June 3, at 10:12 p.m., troopers arrested Joshua E. Williams, 31, of 2 Bettez St., West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1) Receiving Stolen Goods. The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Main Street in the Town of West Warwick. Mr. Williams was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a future Third District court date.

Wanted for Domestic Assault On Tuesday, June 4, at 10:54 a.m., troopers arrested Richard Fratus, 36, of 9 Vermont St., Cranston for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Domestic Assault by Strangulation originating out of West Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a warrant check. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and turned over to Third District Court.

WW stop, Family Court warrant At 10:42 a.m. June 4, troopers arrested Robert J. Butler, 42, of 34 Harding St., West Warwick, Rhode Island for a Family Court Bench Warrant on the Non-Criminal Charge of Reciprocal Body Attachment. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Wakefield Street in West Warwick. Butler was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed and later turned over to Sixth Division District Family Court.

Wanted for disorderly conduct At 11:36 p.m. June 6, troopers arrested Michael Reyes, 34, of 767 Providence Street, Apartment #2A, West Warwick, Rhode Island for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Disorderly Conduct originating out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Providence Street in West Warwick. Reyes was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, and later transported and turned over to the Providence Police Department.

Missed court, simple assault charge On Thursday, June 6, at 11:19 p.m., troopers arrested Aleecia Dickey, 22, of 57 North Main St., Woonsocket, Rhode Island, on a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the original charge of Domestic Simple Assault, originating out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Crawford Street in the Town of West Warwick. Dickey was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Women’s Intake Center.

On June 5, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Scott Lindsey, 47, of 23 Chadler St., North Providence, Rhode Island, on the following: 1) Affidavit and Arrest warrant for Felony Domestic Strangulation; 2) Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for Domestic Violence Violation of No Contact Order; 3) Sixth District Court Warrant for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender; 3) Breaking and Entering out of Providence Police Department; and 4) Fourth District Bench Warrant for Aggravated Assault out of the West Greenwich Police Department. Mr. Lindsey was transported directly to the Providence Police Department for his arraignment.
