WARWICK, RI —  Arrests in the RI Trooper Log this week  in, nearby and involving Warwick included charges for larceny, assault and indecent solicitation of a child:

Traffic stop ends with arrest on warrant for larceny At 12:35 a.m. Jan. 24 troopers arrested Victoria Jones, 20, of 191 Rutherglen Ave., Providence, RI, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of the Warwick Police Department on the original charge of Larceny Under $1,500.

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Plainfield Pike, in Providence. The subject was then processed at Headquarters and later turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

Troopers arrest man on assault charge At 12:45 p.m. Jan. 24, troopers arrested Michael Cogean, 34, of 41 Montrose St., Providence, Rhode Island, for Simple Assault. The arrest was a result of an investigation by the Department of Sherriff’s at Kent County Court House, located at 222 Quaker Lane, in the City of Warwick.

Task Force arrests man for indecent solicitation of child On Jan. 25, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Stephen A. Creta, 55, of 62 Davidson Road, Warwick, Rhode Island, for Indecent Solicitation of a Child. Creta was special arraigned at State Police Headquarters by a Justice of the Peace and released.

Troopers arrest man on warrant for DUI At 11:22 p.m. Jan. 25, troopers arrested Kristin M. Travis, 39, of 64 Grant Street Hartford, CT, for: Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – Blood Results Pending, originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 6 in Providence. Travis was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women’s Intake Center.

Woman arrested for missing court on suspended license charge On Jan. 26, 2018 at 9:15 a.m., troopers arrested Georgette Pineda, 31 of 150 Staniford St., Providence, Rhode Island, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Payment Review on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating from the Cranston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later transported to Third District Court.

Troopers arrest man for receiving stolen license plates On Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at 11:10 AM, Troopers arrested Robert Urey, 48, of 90 John St., Warwick, Rhode Island for Receiving Stolen Goods – Stolen License Plates. The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick. Urey was transported to the Lincoln Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.
