WARWICK, RI — RI State Police arrests this week included reports of erratic drivers that led to DUI charges, a few charges of missing court dates, and one man charged with soliciting a child for sex.
Erratic driver call ends in DUI arrest At 6:05 p.m. Aug. 14, troopers arrested Kenny Demello, 48, of 29 Lane E, Coventry, RI, for Driving Under the Influence of Liquor/ 1st Offense – BAC Unknown and Chemical Test Refusal.
The arrest was the result of a call to the barracks in reference to an erratic operator on Route 95 North and subsequent motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in the City of Warwick.
Demello was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
Missed court date yields arrest during traffic stop At 10:55 p.m. Aug. 14, troopers arrested Ramone Cooper, 33, of 19 Rounds Ave, Providence, RI, for a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the original charge of Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule I-V, originating out of the Providence Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.
Man arrested for obstructing Jefferson Boulevard crash investigation At 11:43 p.m. Aug. 14, troopers arrested Amarilies Huertas, 24, of 46 Second St., Apt. #5, Lowell, MA, for Obstructing an Officer in the Execution of Duty.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident investigation on Jefferson Boulevard, at Rte. 95, in Warwick. Huertas was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing, arraigned by a Justice of The Peace, and released.
Traffic stop yields arrest for missing court At 2:15 p.m. Aug. 14, Troopers arrested Gabrielle Iasimone, 22, of 138 Shadow Brook Drive, Warwick, RI, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Conference on the original charge of Shoplifting originating out of the Warwick Police Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Newell Street in the City of Pawtucket.
Iasimone was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women’s Intake.
Erratic driver report leads troopers to DUI arrest At 5:17 p.m. Aug. 17, troopers arrested Brianne Kuras, 29 of 111 Ferris St., Pawtucket, RI for 1) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and or Drugs 1st Offense / B.A.C Unknown and 2) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.
The arrest was the result of a E-911 phone call for an erratic operator on Rte. 95, in Warwick, RI. Kuras was taken into custody and transported to the Wickford Barracks where she was processed and later released to a responsible party after arraignment by a Justice of the Peace.
Task Force arrests Warwick man for soliciting child On Aug. 17, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force arrested Jerome Danowski, age 56, of 185 Tidewater Drive, Warwick, Rhode Island, for Indecent Solicitation of a Child.
Danowski was special arraigned at State Police Headquarters by a Justice of the Peace and released on $5,000.00 surety bail.
Rte. 95 stop ends in missed court arrest At 4:35 p.m. Aug. 18, troopers arrested Joseph Colomb, 39, of 130 Tripps Corner Road, Exeter, RI, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License out of the Coventry Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.
Traffic stop ends in woman’s arrest on DUI charge At 1:51 a.m. Aug. 18, troopers arrested Amber Farrell, 23, of 144 Spooner Ave., Warwick, RI, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and or Drugs – 1st Offense / B.A.C. Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released to a responsible adult.
