WCFA Winter Market Holiday Shopping

{CREDIT: WCFA] The WCFA Winter Market offers local artwork and crafts created by local artists, on display for the holiday season.

Visit the Warwick Center for the Arts during its three week Winter Market holiday shopping showcase of art of every stripe – for sale.

“We always have an exhibit of some sort rotating on the walls,” said Danielle Salisbury, director at the WCFA. But this time, the exhibit is of smaller art works, more affordably priced, complemented by tables of assorted artistic creations. Those items run the gamut, including mosaics, wooden bowls, jewelry, and succulent arrangements.

The market, open Sunday, Nov. 26, 10-4 p.m., then during WCFA hours, 11 a.m. till 3 p.m., Wednesday Through Saturday. Extended open hours for the Winter Market will include Fridays from 3:00 to 6 pm. The Winter Market is presented as an opportunity for artists and shoppers to connect in a festive way this holiday season, according to the WCFA.   Admission is free, but donations are welcome. The event is hosted in the WCFA open gallery at the historic Kentish Armory in Apponaug Village. There will be gift items available for purchase raning from greeting cards to oil paintings.   In addition to handmade jewelry, toys, cards, ornaments, pottery and accessories, the Market will also sell affordable, framed paintings, prints and other wall hangings. You can also buy WCFA gift certificates if you prefer to give the ‘arts experience’ as a holiday gift this year.
