Warwick, RI — Authorities are searching for two men suspected of running a child sex trafficking ring out of a Warwick hotel, according to the Rhode Island Most Wanted website.
Warwick Police arrested a third man, Xavier Sewell, 24, of North Providence, on July 8. Sewell posted bail and was released until a felony screening scheduled for Aug 4.
According to NBC10, police found the 17-year-old girl after her mother saw a photo of her on a website advertising escort services. The girl reportedly had run away from home in May and stayed with Figueroa.
The TV station quoted police reports as indicating that the men brought the girl to a hotel “near [T.F. Green] airport,” where she had sex with five men for money.
Police did not release the name of the hotel, according to the Rhode Island Most Wanted website.
In the July 25 entry on Rhode Island Most Wanted, police posted photos of the two other suspects, Terrence Dudley, 26, and Raymond Figueroa, 19. Both men have extensive tattoos, including several with gang-related themes.
Dudley, who has a tattoo on the left side of his neck with a red star and the words “Shine Boys,” among others, is also shown posing his hands in gang signs.
Dudley is described as 5-ft. 9-in. tall and weighing 235 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. He is also known as “Big Redd” and “Red Askari,” and has known gang associations, according to police.
According to online court records, Dudley pleaded no contest on May 16 to charges of obstructing a police officer and resisting arrest brought by Lincoln Police. Magistrate Joseph P. Ippolito Jr. dismissed the resisting arrest charge, and imposed court costs and issued a no-contact order on the obstruction charge.
Figueroa, shown on the RI Most Wanted website with multiple tattoos on his arms and a cross tattooed between his eyebrows, is 5-ft. 10-in. and 180 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
Police noted that Figueroa may be in the Dominican Republic, and that both suspects have contacts in nearby states.
