and are asking the public to aid them in apprehending the man after police obtained video of a man, whom they have identified as Lafazia, stealing an unattended purse at NYLO hotel early this month.

“If you know his whereabouts please call your local police department,” Warwick Police wrote on their Facebook page, where they also posted security footage of the alleged theft at the hotel.

The video apparently shows a couple playing pool when they notice the unattended purse. The man in the video places a jacket over the purse before picking up both objects and leaving.
“These two are playing pool when they quickly realize there is a purse left on the sofa. The male does his best “yawn into a hug” type routine and quickly exits stage left.” police wrote.
Police asked anyone with information on Lafazia’s whereabouts to contact Lt. Scott Robillard at 468-4321.
