RI Troopers Arrest Reckless Driver, PA Fugitive, Court Scofflaws

The following Warwick, RI arrests were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

Warwick, RI — RI State Troopers arrested a reckless driver, a fugitive from PA probation and several court scofflaws this week. Details on the arrests are below:

Troopers arrest Cranston man for reckless driving  At 3:30 p.m. Dec. 27, troopers arrested a Cranston man, charging him with Reckless Driving.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. The driver was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing and later arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, then released. Charges were later dropped in the case.

Traffic stop collars fugitive violating PA probation At 10:18 a.m. Dec. 27, troopers arrested Karrin Scott, 23, of 563 Providence St., Warwick, charging him as a Fugitive from Justice from the State of Pennsylvania for Probation Violation.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Cranston. Scott was transported to State Police Headquarters where she was processed, arraigned, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Women’s Intake Center.

Troopers arrest obstruction charge court scofflaw At 10:03 a.m. Dec. 28, troopers arrested Robert Garafano, 32, of 45 Delta St., Cranston, RI, on a 1) Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial on the original charge of Obstructing a Police Officer, originating out of the Cranston Police Department and 2) Sixth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment, originating out of State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Garafano was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.

Troopers arrest suspended license court scofflaw At 2 p.m. Dec. 28, troopers arrested Willis Dunbar, 33, of 43 Branch Brook Plaza, Newark, NJ on a Sixth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Dunbar was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.
